2025 NSSPC Mini-Grant Opportunity
How the grant works
Our primary strategy for supporting and improving suicide prevention in Nebraska is the Nebraska State Suicide Prevention Mini-Grant Program. Each year, this program awards grants ranging from $500 to $4,000 to local suicide prevention coalitions, LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Loss Survivors) teams, schools, communities, and non-profit organizations. These grants fund local suicide prevention and postvention initiatives. Applications are evaluated by our executive board composed of suicide prevention and postvention leaders from across Nebraska. We place special priority placed on efforts that use evidence-based or promising practices as part of their plan to enhance suicide prevention within their community.
Since 2019, over $180,000 in suicide prevention mini-grants were awarded to recipients located in all areas of the state (from the Panhandle to Eastern Nebraska). This work is possible thanks to people like you. NSSPC relies on donations, private foundations, and grants to expand and continue this important work. Every contribution—no matter the size—is reinvested into Nebraska communities.
